Yesterday was the perfect fall day. The air was crisp and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was also the first weekend of the month that it didn't pour. To make the most of the beautiful weather, Ryan, P, and I met up with Brandon, Rachel, and Leah at Berry Farms Pumpkin Patch in Woodstock. While the pumpkins may have been a bit overpriced, the apple cider and fried apple pies made the farm trip worth it. They also had hay rides (which we didn't take because we made the rookie mistake of bringing our big stroller), farm animals on display, pony rides, and some great set ups for fall photo opportunities.
We loved getting some sibling bonding time in and getting the cousins together! Hopefully this can become a fall tradition for the girls and any other little cousin additions in the future!
At the pumpkin patch, we attempted to make a little pumpkin nest to prop Peyton up in for some fun pictures. Clearly, baby girl was more in the mood to eat than to pose for pictures the first go-round.
While Ryan fed Peyton, Leah wondered around exploring the patch and every child in the vicinity. I love her inquisitive personality!
After polishing off her bottled, we decided to try our little set up one more time. At first, P did alright (though we tried everything we could to keep the bright sun off of her and get her to smile at the same time... maybe next fall?!)
Then this happened...
Just a little cousin roughhousing! |
Daddy to the rescue!
Before leaving the patch, we attempted a couple more family portraits with some smiling little girls.
All in all, it was a great day and we look forward to going back to the farm in a couple of months to chop our own Christmas tree down! This farm has it all apparently!
Happy Monday, ya'll!
Aww so cute! You guys make a beautiful family. Glad you had fun! The weather is gorgeous right now!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a great time! I agree that the extras when you go to a farm usually make up for the fact that what you actually came for is a little over priced.
