Two Months

How is our nugget two months old already?! While it feels like time is FLYING by, her one month post seems like it was written ages ago! Even as I look through pictures of her second month of life, I can't believe how much she has grown and changed!

Peyton at TWO months

Weight: 10 lbs. 2.8 oz. (24th Percentile)
Birth: 6 lbs. 10 oz.
Height: 22.5 inches (54th Percentile)
Birth: 19 inches
Head: 15.5 inches (85th Percentile)
Birth: 13.25 inches

Peyton turned two months on Monday, but our pediatricians appointment wasn't until Wednesday. She has grown so much since her last visit! Her newborn clothes are all packed away in a box and she is solely wearing 0-3 month clothes from old navy and Gap and 3 month clothes from Carter's, although they are big on her and almost always need to be rolled up at both the arms and legs. No matter how big her clothes are on her little body, they are all a bitch to get over her head. 85th percentile?!? At least she's got enough room for that brain of hers to grow!

Some fun milestones that took place during our sweet P's second month:

1. She started SMILING! I melt every time that girl smiles at me and literally cannot help but smile back at her. This is fine except for when it is 4 in the morning, P's drinking her bottle, and stops to smile at me or her daddy. As hard as it is, we do our best to look away so she knows it's still night and she needs to go back to sleep. During the day it's a different story though. We basically do everything we can to get that girl to smile back at us all day long. And it's never that hard. P loves to smile and laugh at us and at herself in the mirror!

2. She rolled over! P rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time just the other day. She HATES being on her tummy (unless she is laying on either of us or in a deep sleep) and screamed the entire time, even after she rolled herself over.

3. She said her first word! And it's in Latin. So basically, we're raising the smartest two month old on the planet. The best part about all of this though is that Ryan got it on camera. P is a super chatty baby and loves to talk to Ryan and I throughout the day. And we love to listen to her. Unless she is crying, then maybe not so much.

4. She still has 239538753957 facial expressions. She can go from smiley, to confused, to scared, to pouty, and back to smiley in a matter of seconds and it's the funniest thing.

5. She loves to blow out of her diaper at the most inconvenient times (not that this is ever truly convenient). Every time she has a blow out, she is either sitting in her car seat (95% of the time) or sitting on Rachel G. We've had to clean this mess up at a fair, in the bathroom at a liquor store, at both sets of grandparents houses, and at a restaurant. Needless to say, we ALWAYS have at least one change of clothes on us at all times.

6. Speaking of inconvenient things... P can somehow sense when Ryan and I are sitting down to dinner and chooses that precise moment to pitch a fit. I think I have yet to make it through an entire meal without having to stop eating, tend to her needs, before reheating my dinner up. Fun stuff.

7. She started sleeping through the night. For almost two weeks now, P gets swaddled up and placed in her crib around 10:30 and wakes up to eat for the first time around 5-6, then goes right back to sleep until 8:30-9:30! As time goes on, I am starting to feel less and less like a zombie and I'm loving it. Sleep is great, ya'll. Never take it for granted.

Happy 2 months Peyton. You are such a happy baby and we love seeing your sweet smile every day and watching you learn and grow!

And now for a photo dump from P's second month of life:
